This small corner of the worldwide web holds some preview pages for the Calypso Ichthyological Photolibrary. These pages are not intended to be of a reproductive quality and have been intentionally degraded to avoid unlawful copying.
The full library holds over 9,000 images

You can however in most cases copy the full original file freely, as long as this reproduction work is for educational purposes, or for non-profit organizations such as aquatic societies. Send us an email with your requirements
For a small fee you can also obtain a licence to reproduce most images from the library for all other purposes, including commercial reproduction. Most digital pictures supplied were provided by our DSLR camera to ensure a high quality image. Reproduced images will be supplied in the highest resolution possible with the camera

There are several pages of thumbnails to browse - each from a different area. It must be noted that reproduction rights to some of the some of the images do not belong to Calypso, and some are just unknown - which is why we have to take such great care over copies. If you do know the authors of any unknown items please let us know.
